NB City Council Candidate Forum – Learn the issues and make an educated vote on who will be our next city leaders
Corona del Mar residents and businesses will benefit from attending this unique City Election Forum co-sponsored by the CdM Residents Association (CdMRA) and the CdM Chamber of Commerce. Both organizations are advocates for their memberships and work together on issues to improve living and working in Corona del Mar.
The evening is open to the public and will consist of an opportunity to meet the candidates running for city council and learn about their priorities and goals for our city. Enjoy light refreshments and visit with business and neighboring friends.
Candidates who filed and were qualified to run by the city’s August 7th deadline have been invited to participate. Newport Beach city elections are “at large”, so all residents who are registered to vote in Newport Beach may vote for one candidate in each of the districts on the ballot. This year, those districts are:

District 1 (Lido and Balboa Peninsula)

District 3 (Back Bay and Airport Area)

District 4 (Dunes, East Bluff, Ford Road)

District 6 (Corona del Mar and the western portion of Newport Coast)
In addition to candidates, we have invited speakers to debate the November 3 ballot measure (The Responsible Housing Initiative) which seeks to reduce the number of new housing units approved in the City’s Housing Element from more than 8,000 units to 2,900 new units in certain areas that are suited for residential development.
