Get involved in Local Community and Governmental Affairs
What would you do if you had the opportunity to visit with friends and fellow professionals over coffee and Danish and receive knowledge direct from local, state and federal offices that would otherwise take hours of reading & research?
ATTEND THE CHAMBER GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MEETINGS
(GAC) analyzes
and discusses pending city, state and local legislation.
The mission of the GAC is to provide comprehensive information
to protect a favorable climate for conducting business and
living in the community of Corona del Mar. The GAC brings
together various sectors of the community to create a voice
and to handle the political issues so business owners can concentrate
more on running their businesses.
The GAC will recommend positions to the
Board of Directors regarding local, state & federal issues; attend City Council and
Planning Commission meetings and serve on special committees
and task forces.
On The second Thursday of each month in the Chamber offices, we listen to reports on the State’s budget and the Governors current activities. We receive reports on homeland security and review local community topics. What is better yet, each month we receive our information direct from the Field Representatives of the following legislative offices.
